VIRTUAL
The Maui Arts & Cultural Center (MACC) is honored to welcome you to the 2022-2023 CanDo! Day Virtual Experience. VirtualCanDo! Days focus on exploring elements of Hawaiian arts and culture to support social and emotional learning (SEL) for student voice, expression and liberation.
In this program, you’ll see virtual lessons that are between 10-20 minutes and explore the following disciplines: Dance, Drama, Visual Art, Mele & Movement. These lessons were all created in collaboration with the creative teaching team and all inspired by the book, Hina with each lesson offering a unique lens and experiences.
We offer this virtual programming with the hope that they serve as a space for you and your students to breathe, express your creativity and stretch your minds during the school days. In previous years, we’ve heard that these lessons are great to utilize on days when testing occurs (to help students get their wiggles out after a long day of sitting) or before/after holiday breaks (when you want to creatively work on something briefly).
We are grateful for the work you do and look forward to working with you again in the future!
